A local hospital is making exciting steps forward with the introduction of a new project over the weekend. Yesterday (Sunday), Stewart Memorial Hospital and Clinics broke ground on their Restore and Renew Rockwell City construction project. The event began at 2:30 p.m. at 339 E High St. in Rockwell City on Aug. 2. Stewart Memorial Chief Executive Officer Linn Block says this project will fill a gap in the area’s healthcare needs.
Block says they identified needs in the area in order to inform the best steps forward.
Block says they expect the facility to be operational by the end of 2027.
The addition to the Rockwell City location broke ground yesterday, Sunday, and is expected to take approximately one year before residents can utilize the new medical facilities.
