Gas prices continued their downward track across the state, according to the latest report from the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS) and AAA-Iowa. As of Wednesday, June 3, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in Iowa was $3.91, 21 cents below last week but still 99 cents higher than a year ago. The national average on Wednesday was down 20 cents to $4.26 per gallon. As for Iowa retail diesel, prices rose four cents to $5.01 per gallon, compared to $3.30 this time last year. Local prices are 40 cents lower than the national average of $5.41. As the Des Moines Terminal, E10 was priced at $2.80, Unleaded 87 at $3.35, ULSD#2 at $3.58, ULSD#1 at $3.77, and E70 at $2.43. Natural gas prices at the Henry Hub reporting site rose seven cents to $3.20 per MMBtu.
