Manning Regional Healthcare Center (MRHC) announces the launch of the Legacy Fund, created to support the long-term growth and sustainability of the hospital. The new initiative empowers donors and supporters through a philanthropic approach to build a strong foundation for growth, innovation and service expansion. MRHC SEO Shannon Black says “The Legacy Fund is more than just a donation stream; it’s a commitment to preserving and strengthening our organization so we can fulfill our mission and vision of providing quality healthcare close to home for generations to come. By creating an in-house fundraising initiative, the Legacy Fund ensures the hospital can achieve its long-term goals and strategic priorities, leading to a healthier future for our community. To kick off and start building up the fund, MRHC will be hosting the Legacy 5K Walk and Run on Saturday, Aug. 23 at Manning City Park. Registration is $35 and will go directly to support the initiative. Registration can be completed online using the link included below. In addition to the 5K, annual events of a Legacy Gala will be held in November of this year and a Legacy Golf Tournament in June of 2026. Contributions made to the fund will assist financing facility upgrades, expand patient care programs, and introduce new service lines to ensure MRHC remains a strong, independent and innovative rural health provider for Manning and surrounding communities.
