POET Bioprocessing in Coon Rapids recently awarded $4,000 in Community Impact Grants to four local organizations through its 2025 grant program. The Bayard Volunteer Fire Department received $1,000 to help upgrade its radio system. Stables 4 Jed, which provides grief counseling and equine therapy, also received $1,000 to support the installation of handicap-accessible parking ahead of its public opening. West End was awarded $1,000 to help bring its restrooms up to ADA standards, while the Audubon County Agriculture Society received $1,000 to assist with expanding the fairgrounds’ scale house. POET Coon Rapids General Manager Lars Hersom says, “POET is proud to be a part of the Coon Rapids community.
