The Regional Water Rural Water Association (RWRWA) announced Friday that the final boil order for the communities it serves has been lifted, marking the full clearance of the advisories that have been in place since mid-May. With this update, all communities on the system are now out from under the boil order, but “Level Yellow” water use restrictions remain in place due to ongoing drought conditions and limited water availability. Conservation efforts include a moratorium on lawn irrigation, car washing, pool filling, and street and driveway cleaning. Regional Water continues urging residents to conserve water until a temporary booster pump connecting to Council Bluffs is operational, which is expected to be completed by the end of this week. Construction progress includes pressure testing of 16.5 of 18 pipeline miles and delivery of a chemical building. A leak found near a creek crossing is currently under repair. To improve transparency, Regional Water has launched a new Operations Status Dashboard, available at rwrwa.org, to provide real-time system updates.
