A Carroll man was taken into custody on Monday after allegedly engaging in sexual acts with a juvenile female. According to Carroll County District Court records, 24-year-old Antonio Lamar Deshaunte Hatcher invited a 14-year-old girl to a hotel room on Feb. 24 and engaged in sex acts. Hatcher is currently facing charges of third-degree sexual abuse, a class C felony. He is being held at the Carroll County Jail on a $25,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 20 at the Carroll County Courthouse. If convicted, Hatcher can face a maximum sentence of up to 10 years in prison and $10,000 in fines.
