Time is running out for Iowans to cast their votes for the 16th Annual Iowa’s Best Burger Contest, with only a few days left to support their favorite burger joint. The competition, sponsored by the Iowa Beef Industry Council (IBIC) and the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association (ICA), celebrates Iowa’s beef producers and the restaurants that serve top-quality burgers. Kylie Peterson, IBIC’s director of marketing and communications, says, “Winning this title can be a game-changer for a restaurant, and we love seeing communities rally around their favorites.” Voting is open online at www.iabeef.org until 5 p.m. on Monday, March 10. The finalists are determined by popular vote and will be announced on March 17. A panel of judges will then conduct a secret taste test, with the 2025 Iowa’s Best Burger winner revealed on May 1 to kick off May Beef Month. Previous winners from the area include the Sac County Cattle Company of Sac City in 2010, Coon Bowl III of Coon Rapids in 2012, and Smokin’ Hereford BBQ in Storm Lake in 2017.
