With the cold weather forecasted for the next several days, summer may seem far away, but not for the Stone Pier Summer Concert Series, as the 2025 lineup has just been announced. This will be the 15th anniversary of the free concerts on the Stone Pier on Black Hawk Lake and will feature nine performers across four Saturdays. The concerts kick off on Saturday, June 7, with Good To Be King and Todd Patridge and the Whiskey Gospel. An Iowa-based tribute band to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, which will celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2026, Good To Be King, will take the stage to celebrate the rock band a year early. Todd Patridge and the Whiskey Gospel is returning to Stone Pier after playing at the first Stone Pier show in 2011. The next concert is scheduled for Saturday, July 5, with three original country artists: The Lowdown Drifters, Myron Elkins, and D. Smith. The third concert on Aug. 2 has more rock genre performers, with Robert Jon & The Wreck and Joe Stamm Band. The series’ final concert will be on Aug. 31, with two solo artists, Kashus Culpepper, with a full range of music from country to blues, soul to rock, and breakout artist Abby Hamilton. All of the Stone Pier Summer Concert Series performances are free and open to the public, with the opening acts beginning at 5 p.m. A link to the event’s Facebook page is included below to stay up to date with other events happening in Lake View.
