The Lake View Community Club (LVCC) and the City of Lake View are ready to celebrate the holidays, kicking off the first of three Christmas-themed events this Friday. All weekend long in Lake View, there will be activities such as Christmas lighting to view, crafts, food, music, and so much more. LVCC Event Coordinator Emily Meyer says this Friday, the weekend celebrations will start with the lighting of the Christmas Tree at Lake View City Hall at 6 p.m. There will be music and treats for all attendees to enjoy. Meyer says Saturday will also have a full lineup of holiday fun at the American Legion Hall.
The Grinchy celebration of Candyland Christmas will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. To finish out the holiday event weekend will be the comeback of a popular tour a few years back, the Tour of Homes, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Meyer says the participants will start at Cobblestone Inn and Suites for some appetizers and refreshments before heading out to view some decked-out holiday houses.
Meyer says anyone interested in participating in the 2024 Holiday Tour of Homes can purchase a ticket in advance at a lower cost or on the day of at Cobblestone Inn and Suites.
Meyer hopes everyone will come out to celebrate Christmas in Lake View starting this Friday with the lighting of the Christmas tree at City Hall, Grinch-themed Candyland Christmas on Saturday, and the Holiday Tour of Homes on Sunday. View the full schedules of Saturday and Sunday events below.
