The Carroll Public Library is returning the popular special event for the Summer Reading program, Read with the Merchants. This upcoming Monday, starting at 3:00 p.m., players from the Carroll Merchants will visit the library, read to the attendees, tell their stories of how they got started in baseball, and answer any questions individuals may have. Library Director Wendy Johnson says the library staff invited the team to come last year during the summer reading program, and it was so cool to watch the players interact with kids off the field, talk about how important libraries were to them growing up, that this event had to be brought back. Again, Read with the Merchants is this Monday, starting at 3:00 p.m. at the Carroll Public Library.
