Carroll city officials have announced the season’s first city-wide mosquito spraying is scheduled for next week. On Thursday, June 8, 2023, weather permitting, the city will be conducting mosquito spraying in the evening. The spraying will cover the entire city, starting from a location determined by the wind direction on that day. The chemicals used during this process are generally considered safe for human exposure in moderate amounts, but residents at increased respiratory risk, such as the very young, elderly, or asthmatics, may notice short-term effects like minor skin irritation or slight difficulty breathing.
