Juvenile Charged For Felony Vandalism At Greene County Community Center

The Jefferson Police Department reports another juvenile has been cited in connection to a string of broken windows in the community over the past several weeks. According to law enforcement, officers were dispatched to the Greene County Community Center at approximately 8:36 a.m. Saturday in response to a broken second-story window valued at nearly $2,100. Security camera footage helped authorities identify the suspect, a 9-year-old male. A charge of second-degree criminal mischief, a class D felony, has been forwarded to the juvenile courts for processing. At the beginning of the month, the Jefferson Police Department also investigated nearly $8,000 in damage to windows at the former Greene County Middle School. At least 21 double-pane windows were broken in that incident.
