Glidden City Officials Wrapping Up Multiple Improvement Projects At The Community Ballfields

Glidden city officials are wrapping up multiple improvement projects at the community’s little league ballfields. Glidden Parks and Recreation Director Mike Schultz says that in the last two years, significant quality-of-life additions have been made to the baseball and softball fields in Glidden.

Schultz says most of the projects have been funded through donations and grants.

The ballpark bleachers were part of a $9,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Carroll County and the Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation. City officials also received a $1,000 grant from the Black Hills Energy Power of Trees program. This grant helps cover most of the cost of replacing and planting new trees at the facility. Schultz says the improvements might be done for the summer, but residents can expect more to come in the future.

Photos from the improvement projects can be found included with this story on our website. Anyone wanting to donate for future projects can contact city hall at 712-659-3010.
