Marlo, the son of Merle and Mary (Sporrer) Trecker was born on March 26, 1963, in Sioux City, Iowa.  He grew up on the family farm near Carroll.  Marlo attended Dedham – Willey School, and in 1981 he graduated from Carroll High School.  After high school, Marlo moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he met the love of his life, Susan Mueller.  They moved back to the Carroll area to live and raise a family.  The couple were blessed with a son, William, and a daughter Emmy.  Family and pets meant everything to Marlo and was very grateful when he recently found his birth family in 2022.

Marlo worked at Farner-Bocken, Farmland, and was currently a welder at New Way Manufacturing.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and telling jokes.  He had a laugh that resonated through your body.  The drive in Marlo just made everyone around him happy and laugh. He was one of a kind. He loved spending time with family and friends.  He loved with all his heart, and it showed through his actions and the smile on people’s faces and their laughter. The world needs more “Marlo’s”.

Marlo is survived by his wife Susan Trecker of Carroll: his children: William (Tabatha) Trecker of Carroll, Emmy Trecker of Carroll, Ann (Jason) Riesberg of Des Moines, and Amanda (Armin) Holle of Phoenix, AZ; a grandson, Jase Riesberg of Des Moines.
