With warmer weather here, many communities, including Manning, are beginning spring hydrant flushing procedures. Starting Tuesday, April 4, city crews will open hydrants to clear mineral deposits and other accumulated debris from the water mains. Customers may notice intermittent discoloration in their water until flushing is completed on Wednesday, April 5. While the off-colored water does not pose any health risks, it does carry the potential of staining clothes if residents run laundry during this time.
