Audubon Man Killed In Truck/Semi Accident Friday Near Manning

The Iowa State Patrol has released details of a fatal motor vehicle accident from this (Friday) morning on Highway 141 near Manning. According to law enforcement, 34-year-old Michael Snyder of Audubon was traveling northbound on Eagle Avenue at approximately 6:44 a.m. in a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado and failed to stop at the posted stop sign. As the truck entered the intersection, it collided with an eastbound 2019 Mack Anthem semi-tractor trailer, operated by 53-year-old Craig Gruhn of Manning. Snyder died from injuries sustained in the crash. Gruhn did not report any serious injuries. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, Carroll County Emergency Medical Services, and the Manning and Templeton Fire Departments assisted at the scene. Friday’s fatal accident is the second in Carroll County just this week. On Wednesday, an Alabama man was killed on Highway 141 in a traffic accident between Coon Rapids and Dedham.
