Carroll County Supervisors Canvas Nov. 9 Elections At Monday’s Meeting

The Carroll County Board of Supervisors will formally canvas results from the Nov. 8 elections at their meeting scheduled for Monday. Only three local races were contested on Carroll County ballots: Carroll County Recorder, won by Republican Ashten Wittrock of Carroll; District 2 Supervisors, won by Mike Andersen of Breda; and District 6 Senator, won by Jason Schultz of Schleswig. Before certifying the winners, the board will hear from Carroll County Public Health officials concerning department operations. County Engineer Zac Andersen will provide updates on utility permits, road upgrade requests, and more from secondary roads. Also on Monday’s agenda is discussion and approval of an agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT), Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 Urban Renewal reports, and updates from the supervisors and their respective committees. Supervisors convene at 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov 14 in the courthouse’s meeting room. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
