A former paraeducator with the Manson-Northwest Webster School District faces felony charges in Calhoun County District Court for an alleged sexual relationship with a student. According to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, 21-year-old Zachary Marshall Siefken of Manson was arrested on Oct. 28 after an investigation found Siefken had maintained an inappropriate relationship with a 14-year-old student beginning in September. According to trial information filed Thursday, Siefken is charged with third-degree sexual abuse and lascivious acts with a child, both class C felonies, and sexual exploitation by a school employee, a class D felony. He has been released from custody after posting bond, but he is scheduled to appear on Monday, Nov. 14 for his arraignment hearing. The charges carry a combined maximum penalty of up to 25 years in prison and $27,500 in fines if he is convicted.
