$13,000 In Damages From Two-Vehicle Accident In Jefferson

The Jefferson Police Department responded to a property damage accident on Friday evening at the intersection of North Elm and 220th Street. The initial investigation revealed that Robert Van Horn had been traveling westbound on 220th Street in a 2016 Chevrolet Traverse and had come to a stop at the four-way intersection. Jade Spaulding of Jefferson was traveling northbound on North Elm in a 2011 Ford Taurus and had also come to a stop at the intersection. Both vehicles proceeded through at the same time, and the Traverse hit the Taurus in the passenger’s door. There was an estimated $10,000 in damage to the Taurus and $3,000 to the Van Horn Traverse. Spaulding was issued a citation for failure to yield to a vehicle on the right.
