The Sac City Council met this afternoon for a special council meeting with only one item on the agenda, consider a resolution change. City Administrator, Jaime Lawrence, says they were changing the city’s anti-drug and alcohol program because the other one is outdated.
He adds the new policy goes into place right away. The old program was only a few pages long, and Lawrence says this new one is extended.
Lawrence adds the meeting was very short, and it didn’t take long to get the new policies in place. The council met in the council chambers, and their next regularly scheduled meeting is on Tuesday, May 24, at 5:00 p.m. The meeting is open to the public, and they are encouraged to attend.
