Julie Schrader An RN At St. Anthony Regional Hospital Presented With the DAISY Award

A Registered Nurse at St. Anthony Regional Hospital was presented with the DAISY Award. The non-profit DAISY foundation is based in Glen Ellen, CA, and was established by family members in memory of J. Patrick Barnes. The care that Patrick received inspired this award to thank nurses for making a profound difference in the lives of their patients and families. The award was presented to Julie Schrader, an RN at the hospital. Julie studied nursing at Nebraska Methodist School of Nursing in Omaha and obtained her RN license in 1980. She started working in the early 1990s and has worked in the medical-surgical unit, intensive care unit, and dialysis. Scott Ellis, Vice President of Patient Services and Chief Nursing Officer at St. Anthony, says, “it is important to recognize the extraordinary work that nurses perform in every area, and it was exciting to present this award to Julie during Nation Nurses Week.”
