Scott Mitchell, age 73, of Carroll, Iowa and formerly of Des Moines, Iowa passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022 while residing at New Hope Village in Carroll, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll, Iowa with Bill Benson officiating. Burial will be in the Woodward Cemetery in Woodward, Iowa and he will be buried next to his Mother and Father Billie and Dean Mitchell.

Scott was born on July 29, 1948 in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Billie (Leaming) and Dean Mitchell. He was baptized at College Avenue Christian Church in Des Moines. He attended Park Avenue Elementary Special Education School in Des Moines. He later moved to New Hope Village in Carroll, Iowa where he resided until his death. He was a member of College Avenue Christian Church. He had a love of music with The Sound of Music theme song being his favorite and could often be found watching the movie and/or listening to the music.
Scott is survived by his sister Diane (Mitchell) Brewer and her Spouse Brooke Brewer of Dallas, TX; nephew Blake Mitchell Brewer and his Spouse Sarah Brewer of Dallas; and great nephews, Mitchell and Mason Brewer both also of Dallas.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
