The primary intersection in Sac City will be closed through the end of the week in order to complete emergency repairs to sewer lines beneath the road. According to Administrator, Jamie Lawrence, city crews discovered a void had started to form beneath the intersection at 5th and Main, which could be a potential hazard for vehicle traffic. Work is expected to last through Friday, Jan. 12. Main Street will be closed between State and 6th Streets, and 5th Street will be closed between Williams and Audubon Streets for the duration of the project. The road surface will remain graveled through the winter with a new top coat to be added this summer.
