A Bagley woman faces multiple charges after resisting arrest in Coon Rapids Friday afternoon. The Coon Rapids Police Department was dispatched to the library in the 100 block of 3rd Avenue at approximately 12:14 p.m. in response to a report of woman creating a disturbance. The woman, identified as 53-year-old Polly Marie Bauer, was allegedly yelling in the library and ignored multiple requests to leave. While being taken into custody, Bauer allegedly resisted by pushing the arresting officer and swinging her arms combatively. She was detained and transported to the Carroll County jail where she was charged with assault on persons in certain occupations, a serious misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct and interference with official acts, simple misdemeanors. She was released on her own recognizance after appearing before a magistrate. Her next court hearing is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 9.
