U.S. Senator Grassley And Iowa Senator Williams Agree We Will Likely See A Change In Power Come 2022 Mid-Term Elections

In a recent interview, U.S. Senator, Chuck Grassley, made a prediction on the mid-term elections in 2022, and the possibility that control will shift once again.

About three months ago, Grassley says he would have predicted Republicans would easily take over the House of Representatives. At that time, he wasn’t so sure about the senate, but his opinion has now changed.

The membership of the 117th Congress shows 225 Democrats, including four delegates, 215 Republicans, including one delegate and the Resident Commissioner of Puerto Rico, with one vacant seat. The senate has 50 Republicans, 48 Democrats and two independents who caucus with Democrats. This year’s city/school elections reported another record turnout of more than 425,000 Iowans voting either in person or absentee, as compared to 358,000 in 2019. Iowa’s District 6 Senator, Craig Williams, agrees with Grassley’s prediction after seeing the outcome of elections across the country. He adds these numbers also prove that Iowa Republicans were not working to “suppress the vote” as Democrats accused. Rather what happened is that the Republican Party in the state ensured there was election integrity; making it easy to vote, but hard to cheat the system. The mid-term elections will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
