The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office has announced an open house and Cornerstone Laying Ceremony for the new Carroll County jail. The public is invited to attend open houses from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on two days in November, Saturday, Nov. 13 and Sunday, Nov. 14. Staff will be on hand both days to answer questions. At 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13, Grand Officers with the Grand Lodge of Iowa, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons will conduct the Cornerstone Laying Ceremony. This honored tradition will take approximately 45 minutes.
