Girls Swimming Results Saturday, September 25th
Carroll At Des Moines Lincoln
Carroll won three individual events and a relay to finish third on Saturday in Des Moines. The Tigers swum well without Jenna Currier, who wasn’t available for the meet. Carroll still one the 200 Free Relay, along with the 200 IM, 500 Free and the 100 Breast. They collected 305 points to finish behind Indianola and host school Des Moines Lincoln. Carroll finished with seven events in the top five including two of the three relays.
Sophia Polking, Hailey Burns, Ellie Beagle and Emma Myers teamed up to win the 200 Free Relay. They swam a 1:48.66, with Beagle swimming a 25.93 and Myers a 25.71. Myers came back a few minutes later and won the 100 Breast in 1:13.14, going 34.63 and 38.51. Myers also won the 200 IM with a strong start and close. She finished in 2:22.08 and swam a 31.15 first 50 meters and a 34.05 last 50 meters. Ellie Beagle continues her strong start to the season with a win in the 500 Free. She swum a 5:44.31, starting strong with a 30.09 first 50 meters and closed with her second best lap at 32.84. Carroll took 2nd in the 400 Free Relay with Amelia Holt, Ashley Beagle, Ellie Beagle and Emma Myers. They swam a 3:56.88. Ellie Beagle was 2nd in the 200 Free in 2:08.59.
Carroll hosts Spencer and Atlantic on Tuesday.
