WIN Partner Purchases Iowa High School Sports Network

A telecommunications partner of Western Iowa Networks (WIN) has purchased the Iowa High School Sports Network (IHSSN), which holds exclusive media rights for the Iowa High School Athletic Association’s (IHSAA) championship events. Chat Mobility purchased the company from Krogman & Associates and has also formed a new limited liability corporation called iP Broadcasting & Media, LLC. They will continue to do business as the IHSSN. “Chat Mobility is very pleased to announce this transaction,” says General Manager, Brian Spurgeon. “The acquisition aligns with our business objectives and strategies and reflects our commitment to serve those who continue to support us. We truly thank our partner, Western Iowa Networks, for their vision and support to continually grow our product offerings.” WIN CEO, Jeff Roiland, says this acquisition is made even more exciting with the return of the Class 1A and 2A state baseball to Carroll this week. “This will give us the opportunity to provide great connectivity to all involved with the tournament and help it go as smoothly as possible.” These games are available on WIN Digital TV channel 142 in standard definition and channel 342 in hi-definition. Alan DeBolt, who has been with Chat Mobility for more than 22 years, has been named IHSSN’s executive director. The IHSSN currently provides nearly 80 high school championship events each year, including boys’ state basketball, football, wrestling, baseball and co-ed state track. Viewers can livestream or watch via the IHSSN app, details on how to access these are included below.
