The Iowa Dental Board has become aware of scams that are spoofing their office phone number. They are advising all licensees that someone is impersonating a board investigator or staff member and seeking money and/or information. The board advises members that they will not call a dental office and demand money or use pressure tactics to gather information. Anyone unsure about a call that seems to originate from their office should hang up and call them directly at 515-281-5157. Dental offices that believe they have fallen victim to such a scam should contact their local law enforcement.
