Milk and bread costs for Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 have increased slightly for the Carroll Community School District (CCSD). The board of education reviewed and approved the submitted bids at their meeting Monday night. Only one bakery supplied bread bids for the 2021/22 school year and that was from Bimbo Bakery. The price of whole grain bread loaves, hamburger buns and hot dog buns increased by seven percent. Two companies submitted milk bids for FY22, Anderson Erickson (AE) and Kemps with AE being the low bid. The price of skim milk is increasing by 3.77 percent on average, while one-percent white milk is up 4.4 percent and one-percent chocolate milk is up 6.9 percent. The price of yogurt, sour cream, cottage cheese and orange juice did not change from FY21.
