A Coon Rapids man has been charged after allegedly punching another man in the face last week. According to Carroll County District Court records, 22-year-old Dakota Aaryn Folce faces one count of assault, a simple misdemeanor. A Coon Rapids Police Department affidavit says the incident occurred at approximately 11:26 p.m. at a residence in the 200 block of 5th Avenue on Thursday, July 15. Authorities allege Folce was intoxicated and struck the victim after he attempted to avert a potential altercation. Folce was taken into custody Friday and released after appearing before a magistrate. His next court hearing is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 12.
