Bruce Michael Gramowski, age 58, of Carlisle, IA, and formerly of Carroll, IA, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 16, 2021 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, July 26, 2021 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll, IA, with Chaplain Angelo Luis officiating. Burial will be in the Carroll City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll from 10 – 11 A.M. on Monday prior to the service.

Bruce was born on July 15, 1963 in Fairbury, IL, and he was the son of Richard James and Arlene Mae (Wyman) Gramowski. His family moved to Carroll when he was 11 years old and he graduated from Kuemper High School in 1981. He then earned his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from UNI graduating in 1985. Bruce also graduated from AIB in Des Moines with a business degree and worked as a tax preparer in Des Moines. He later worked several other jobs; most recently as a Courier Delivery Driver for FedEx. He was married to Sara Schmidt in Greene, IA on August 17, 1985. The couple made their home in Des Moines with their two children Daniel and Paige. They later divorced and Bruce has lived in Carlisle for the past 15 years. Bruce was an avid sports fan and his teams were the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Cubs and the UNI Panthers.
Bruce is survived by his children Daniel Gramowski and Paige Gramowski both of Carlisle; his siblings and their families: brother Dean Gramowski (Deb) of Glidden, brother Brian Gramowski of Champaign, IL, sister Diane Odendahl (John) of Carroll, and brother Dale Gramowski (Renee) of Boone; and several nieces and nephews.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, a niece Megan Gramowski, and his former wife Sara.
