Audubon wrapped up a busy week where they played six games in six day by hosting Denison Schleswig out of Class 3A. The Wheelers made good contact but were only able to garner 4 hits. They led Denison Schleswig to 9 hits but 9 walks allowed the Monarchs to score in bunches. They scored 11-runs over the final 3 innings to end the game in 5. The Wheelers felt they played better than they did on Friday night and feel they are close.
Braden Wessel, Aiden Alt, Gavin Larsen and Cooper Nielsen all had hits with Larsen doubling.
The Wheelers dropped their 7th straight game to fall to 6-10 overall. They look to snap the losing streak on Monday at LoMa.
