Minor Injuries Reported In Two Separate Greene County Accidents Wednesday

Greene County first responders were called to two accidents on Wednesday. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office reports the first incident occurred at approximately 1:34 p.m. on 260th Street near X Avenue, northeast of Rippey. Thirty-three-year-old Logan Warnock of Perry was westbound on 260th Street in a 2008 Nissan Altima when he lost control, entered the south ditch and struck a metal intake. Warnock was transported to the Greene County Medical Center by Grand Junction Fire and Rescue for treatment of suspected minor injuries. There was an estimated $2,500 in damage to the Altima. The Rippey Fire Department also assisted at the scene. The second accident was reported at approximately 3:45 p.m. on U.S. Highway 30 near W Avenue, east of Grand Junction. Fifty-nine-year-old Michael Mcatee of Grand Junction was westbound on Highway 30 in a 2001 Ford F-150. He was stopped for a vehicle in front of him that was making a turn when he was rear-ended by a 2019 Ram ProMaster van, driven by 41-year-old Christopher Neppel of Carroll. Mcatee was transported by Grand Junction Fire and Rescue to the Greene County Medical Center with suspected minor injuries. Damage estimates for the Ford were at $5,000 with damage to the Ram estimated at $10,000.
