Kuemper picked up a quality win against Atlantic Monday evening. Kuemper started off the match getting up 1-0 before Atlantic tied up the game at 1 goal apiece. Kuemper ended the first half with another goal to give them the lead back at 2-1.
In the second half, Kuemper spent most of their time on the Atlantic side of the field. The Knights added three more goals to their lead, making it 5-1, while their defense kept Atlantic from scoring. Noah Bauer’s night defending the goal included two saves on goal. The Knights get a great 5-1 win before their final game of the regular season this week. Max Burnett and John Mayhall scored two goals while Simon Wagner scored a goal. Jayden Petersen and Wagner both were credited with two assists as Isaac Evans recorded one assist. The Knights improve to 7-11 on the season as Atlantic falls to 1-15.
The Knights close out the regular season when they welcome West Sioux to town on Thursday, May 20th.
