Lake View’s Camp Crescent will have more flags than usual flying during the upcoming Memorial Day weekend thanks to a generous donation from a local veteran. Last week, American Legion 8th District Membership Chairman and Lake View resident, Ed Rohner, purchased 288 American flags and presented them to the City of Lake View. The flags will be distributed to campers during check-in with any remaining flags to be handed out during the Fourth of July weekend. According to city officials, the two holidays are the busiest of the year at Camp Crescent with nearly all the bookable spots already reserved for both weekends. Rohner has made similar donations to the campground in previous years.
