Jefferson PD Responds To Two Motor Vehicle Accidents Monday

The Jefferson Police Department responded to two motor vehicle accidents Monday. The first occurred at approximately 2:25 p.m. when officers were dispatched to the scene in a parking lot in the 200 block of West State Street. According to their investigation, a 2016 Dodge 1500 pickup, driven by Shiena Hadley of Bagley, was backing up in the lot and struck a parked 2012 Chevrolet Impala, owned by Barbara Kendall of Jefferson. Damage to the vehicles is estimated at $1,000 each. The second accident was a car/deer collision at approximately 9:06 p.m. on Highway 4 near the intersection with 210th Street. Authorities say a 2010 Toyota Corolla, owned by Matt Carlson of Jefferson and driven by Eliza Carlson, was southbound and collided with a deer in the roadway. Damage to the Toyota is estimated at approximately $6,000 and the vehicle needed to be towed from the scene. No injuries were reported in either incident.
