Girls Track Results for Tuesday, May 4th, 2021
East Sac and South Central Calhoun at Twin Lakes Conference Meet
The East Sac and South Central Calhoun girls track teams competed Tuesday at the Twin Lakes Conference track meet and ended the day with some top five finishes. East Sac ended the meet in sixth place in the team standings with 62, followed by South Central Calhoun in ninth place with 39 team points.
Brianna Boeckman for East Sac did well in the throwing events. She finished in second place in the discus event with a throw of 99-05 and fourth in the shot put event with a throw of 34-07.75. Brooke Jergens finished in second place in the 100 meter dash with a final time of 13.14 and third in the 200 meter dash with a time of 27.81. Jergens was also part of the 4X100 relay, along with Hannah Pudenz, Meredith Brown, and Carly Fischer, that finished in fourth place with a time of 53.80.
For South Central Calhoun, Jade Ridgely finished the 200 meter dash in fourth place with a time of 28.29. Keira Hamman finished the shot put event in fifth place with a throw of 34-02.75. Laura Greene ended the long jump event in fifth place with a longest jump of 14-08.50. The Titans also had a relay finish in the top five. The Shuttle Hurdle Relay team, consisting of Olivia Toms, Molly Monahan, Claire Riat, and Kortney Riley, finished in fourth place with a time of 1:16.83.

IKM-Manning and Audubon at Western Iowa Conference Meet
IKM-Manning and Audubon competed Tuesday at the Western Iowa Conference track meet held in Audubon. Both teams ended the day with multiple top three finishes. Audubon ended the meet in fourth place with 84 team points, followed by IKM-Manning in eighth place with 46 team points.
Audubon’s Relay teams did well at this meet, gathering four top two finishes. The 4X800 Relay team, consisting of Grace Slater, Mattie Nielsen, Kodie Sporrer, and Hannah Thygesen, won the event with a time of 10:37.85. Thygesen and Nielsen joined Madison Steckler and Abigail Zaiger in the distance medley relay finishing in second place with a time of 4:36.93, and the 4X400 relay finishing in second place with a time of 4:23.65. Audubon’s shuttle hurdle relay team, consisting of Mattie and Katelyn Nielsen, Steckler, and Madison Burr, finished in second place with a time of 1:11.70. Individually for Audubon, Elizabeth Ziager got a second place finish in discus with a throw of 110-10.
Alexa Ahrenholtz of IKM-Manning contributed well to her team’s score with two top three finishes. She finished in second place in the high jump with a jump of 5-00.00 and finished in third place in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.23. Morgan Hanson gave the Wolves another third place finish, this time in the 3000 meter run with a final time of 12:15.23.
