Juvenile Charged Following High-Speed Motorcycle Pursuit Saturday Evening

A juvenile male was taken into custody Saturday evening by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office following a high-speed pursuit that began in Grand Junction. At approximately 10:21 p.m., a deputy attempted to stop a motorcycle traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 30 at 105 mph. The driver refused to yield to law enforcement’s lights and sirens and continued east into Boone County. The motorcycle was stopped at the intersection of Highways 30 and 169 south of Ogden, nearly 11 miles from where the pursuit began. The driver was arrested and charged with eluding, an aggravated misdemeanor, and speeding—105 mph in a 55-mph zone.
