Pair Could Face Drug Charges After Caught Raiding Private Refrigerator At Jefferson Hotel

Raiding a refrigerator at a local hotel/resort may lead to drug charges for a pair of Jefferson residents. The Cobble Stone Hotel requested an officer report to their location at 771 Wild Rose Lane at approximately 9:17 p.m. Monday to address the theft of private items. The officer was shown video surveillance of a male and female removing food and drink from the private refrigerator and returning to their room. The officer arrested 32-year-old Jeremy Ernest Andrews and 19-year-old Gailee Nichole Richter and charged both with fifth-degree theft, simple misdemeanors. The hotel advised the subjects were no longer allowed to stay there and it was requested that they gather their things before leaving for the jail. At the Greene County jail, a jailer located suspected narcotic-related items in a backpack while inventorying that property. Future charges are pending lab tests on those items.
