The Audubon County Roads Department has announced that a stretch of Eagle Avenue west of Audubon will likely be closed for the entirety of the summer for bridge repairs. The crossing is located about halfway between 210th and 220th Streets and was closed to thru-traffic this (Tuesday) afternoon for crews to begin work on the structure. County officials estimate the repairs will be completed by Thursday, Sept. 30, depending on weather conditions. Homes on this section of Eagle Avenue will still be accessible from the south via 220th Street.
