The Carroll Tigers had a great offensive game as they defeated Greene County Thursday night. The Tigers started off the high scoring night with a quick goal with only 1:27 off the clock. In the next 13:08, Carroll scored another three goals to make it 4-0 with plenty of time left in the first half. The offensive push for the Tigers continued with three more goals before the first half was complete. The Tigers defense kept Greene County without any shots on goal or points in that first half.

It didn’t take the Tigers long to end the contest in mercy in the second half. With 1:40 off the clock, the Tigers scored a quick goal making it 8-0. Not too long after that, with 31 minutes left on the clock, the Tigers scored two more goals to end the contest with a score of 10-0. 

 

Individually for the Tigers, Mary Perkins scored a game high six goals while Emersyn Walsh aided with five assists and a goal of her own. Trista Reis scored a goal as well as two assists. The Tigers improve to 1-1 on the season as Greene County falls to 0-1. The Tigers are in action next on Tuesday, April 13 when they face off against Kuemper.

East Sac at Panorama

East Sac: 1

 

The East Sac Raiders played a tough 80 minutes but ultimately lost to Panorama Thursday night. The Raiders started off the contest with a quick goal from Bree Boeckman, assisted by Kayla Meyer, within the first eight minutes of play. The score was in favor of East Sac for most of the first half, until Panorama scored two goals with 12 minutes left. The Raiders were unable to score again in the first half giving the Panthers a 2-1 advantage at halftime. 

 

The 2-1 Panther lead stayed steady for most of the second half. The Raiders got aggressive in the last 15 minutes of play trying to tie up the game, but the Panthers took advantage of a missed counter attack goal to make it 3-1. The Panthers held on for the remainder of the contest and walked away with the 3-1 win. 

 

Individually for the Raiders, Bree Boeckman would score the lone Raider goal with Kayla Meyer getting the assist. Aleisha Thayer defended the ball well on defense getting 17 saves on the day. The Raiders fall to 1-1 on the season as the Panorama Panthers improve to 2-0. The Raiders are in action next when they travel to Nodaway Valley on Monday, April 12.
