Lake View Capital Improvements Draft Plan Identifies Four Primary Items For FY22

The Lake View City Council continues to work on identifying key capital improvement priorities for Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 and beyond following the review of a draft plan at a recent meeting. According to Administrator, Scott Peterson, this is part of their regular budgeting process, and it reflects the council’s vision for the community in the near term.

The draft plan includes a variety of requests from the city’s departments, but the bulk of the cost consists of just four items.

Peterson adds the council has not approved a final version of the plan and may make adjustments as they see fit. He says a vote for the plan’s approval is scheduled for their Jan. 18 meeting. The council generally follows these plans very closely, but it is not binding like other council actions.

City councils must turn in their certified budgets to the Iowa Department of Management by March 31.
