A slow start, foul trouble and an illness during a Rocket rally led to a loss on Monday to open the 2nd half of the season for Ar-We-Va. The Rockets cut the deficit to 4 in the 2nd quarter but lost one of their top players in Bridget Cameron until late in the 3rd quarter and had to battle through some early foul trouble. They trailed by 9 at half and weren’t able to recover.

Sara Schurke played well defensively and finished the game with a team high 11 rebounds. Timberlen Koch came off the bench to add 7 points while Jadeyn Smith led the team with 17 points to go with 8 rebounds.

The loss dropped the Rockets to 1-8 on the season and was their 6th straight loss as they come home on Tuesday to host Woodbine.
