A Carroll woman is closing out 2020 on a high note after claiming a $30,000 lottery prize earlier this week. Brittney Otten cashed in her winning “Elfin Fun” scratch ticket Monday at the Iowa Lottery’s regional office in Storm Lake. She purchased her winning ticket at the west Casey’s convenience store in Carroll. This is the fourth top prize awarded so far from this particular game. Elfin Fun is a $3 scratch ticket with overall odds of one in 3.51, but Otten won on the longest odds of one in 125,630. Players with nonwinning tickets still have a chance to win with the Iowa Lottery’s Winter Wonderland Play It Again promotion. Details on that can be found included below.
