The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in recovering a stolen tractor. Sometime between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, Dec. 27, a 4030 open-cab John Deere was taken. The tractor has a red fuel cap and a loader and had an old heat-houser unit installed at the time of its disappearance. Authorities and the family have been able to track the John Deere to a little southeast of Schleswig. The family says the loss is not only monetary, but sentimental as well as this was their father’s first tractor.
