The Wildcats evened their record at 1-1 with a dominating road win on Thursday. The defense helped set the tempo early, as the press created turnovers and fast break opportunities that turned into easy baskets. When Glidden Ralston wasn’t able to score in transition the guards found Carter Scott inside. Scott had a big night scoring 22 points including his first dunk on an inbounds play. The dominant play from Scott inside helped set up his teammates with 9 guys scoring, two guys in double figures and another two with 8 points each.
Glidden Ralston took control early leading by 11 after the 1st quarter. They scored in double figures in all 4 quarters with a high of 23 in the 3rd quarter. The defense allowed double figures in points in the 2nd and 3rd quarters but allowed just 6 in the opening stanza and 7 in the 4th quarter.
The Wildcats won for a second straight time against West Central Valley. They dominated last year’s game as well winning 61-36.
Carter Scott had a game high 22 points to go with 7 rebounds. Karter Kennebeck was really good as well finishing with 11 points and 8 rebounds. Brigham Daniel added 8 points, 4 assists and 4 steals while Cale Klocke followed up his 16 point performance from Tuesday with 8 points and 6 rebounds. Jackson Sklenar helped inside with 7 rebounds and John Whitver added 4 steals. The Wildcats had 17 steals as a team.
The Wildcats travel to Paton Churdan on Friday.
