A Lake City woman escaped injury in a single-vehicle accident Saturday on Timber Avenue, near the Carroll and Calhoun County line. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene at approximately 10:34 p.m. and found that 27-year-old Tabitha Joann Daniel was northbound on Timber in a 2018 Chevrolet Malibu and approaching a curve. Daniel failed to negotiate the turn and drifted off the right-hand shoulder of the road, entered the east ditch and struck a field drive. There was disabling damage done to the vehicle, estimated at $5,000, and Daniel was cited for operating while under the influence and failure to maintain control.
