You Can Help Keep A Christmas Tradition Alive By Nominating Someone To Receive An Earl May Holiday Tree

A long-term beloved holiday tradition will live on this year in memory of a Scranton resident. Marlene Smouse put out a special request every Christmas season to the manager at Earl May Nursery and Garden Center in Carroll, Mike Pudenz. He says year-in and year-out, it was always a pleasure to fulfill that request.

Marlene passed away in May of this year, but her children wanted to ensure that something she loved so much became a gift to someone in need.

Earl May will be delivering a fresh Christmas tree to one lucky household, based on the nominations they receive from the general public.

The tree will be delivered and set up in December. There are sheets in the store that can be filled out and submitted with a note about why the individual or family is deserving of this gift. They also have information posted on their Facebook page on how to make a nomination. A link to that is included below.
