Women Involved In Oct. 5 Dispute At Fairview Village Scheduled For Trial Feb. 9

The two women charged following a dispute involving firearms at Fairview Village Apartments have been scheduled for trial in February.  Twenty-seven-year-old Glennisha Janancy Myers faces one count of assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor. The charge stems from an incident in the 500 block of East 18th Street on Oct. 5. Authorities say Myers and 30-year-old Kamille Elise Garnett were arguing in the parking lot at approximately 9:17 a.m. and had brandished pistols during the altercation. Myers’ trial has been scheduled to begin Tuesday, Feb. 9. Garnett is charged with intimidation with a dangerous weapon, a class C felony, going armed with intent and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver with a firearm, class D felonies, and assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, child endangerment and possession of alprazolam with intent to deliver, aggravated misdemeanors. Garnett pled not guilty to the charges at the beginning of November and is also scheduled for trial on Feb. 9. Both women were also involved in an Oct. 14 shooting at Fairview that left a 31-year-old Ames man with non-life-threatening injuries.
